Ok .. I have a Windows Vista Home Basic and I want a new video card?
I (currently) an Nvidia GeForce 6180 series video and im tryin to save up to $ 70to Buy a [EVGA GeForce 8500 GT / 256MB DDR2 / SLI Ready / PCI Express / DVI / VGA / HDTV / Video Card] my monitor can support its Definition HP vp17 and this is my rig info. Manufacturer: Compaq Presario Processor: AMD Athlon ™ 64 Processor 3800 +, ~ 2.4GHz Memory: 446MB RAM Hard Drive: 120 GB Total Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Monitor: HP vp17 LCD Monitor (HD) Sound Card: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) Speakers / Headphones: Theater Keyboard: USB Root Hub Mouse: USB Root Hub Mouse Surface: Smooth Operating system: Windows Vista ™ Home Basic (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_rtm.061101-2205) i just want to know if the video card works perfectly on it … no problems what so ever and if it does not work … how do u install them. More … if I can not "bump" it up to 2 gigs. .. whats the highest card can i Go 7 Series? Cuz I dont like my 6180
I bump the ram to 2 gigs and you do u have a PCI-E slot free for the card ..
