How to restore old amplifiers and speakers?
I have an Akai Cosmic LAB 3000 amplifier and a cassette deck with Dolby Cosmic Akai record two speakers Arphi Super Challenger they are sort of working condition but I wanted to know how to restore to good condition and where I can and how is it even possible? equipment is about 20 years.
Personally, I do not think it's worth restoring unless you a sentimental attachment to it. It's a bit too old, and replacement parts will not make it sound better if it does not ring well in the first place … unless you like steampunking stuff. For the amplifier, you can see if a repair electronics are ready to replace each and every part in, such as capacitors and resistors and whatnot. For pregnant … if they are broken, you can not do anything what. You can take the old speakers and replace them with other speakers … but again the cost is simply not worth it. If you love vintage, aim for a Marantz amplifier, those are nice.
