keyboards cat

Okay, You're at the point where you know basically what your website is about. You also understand your audience. Now it is time to understand what you try to tell your audience. What message or messages are you trying to achieve?
What I usually do at this stage of the game is to pad of paper and a good pen, go to the park (assuming it's a beautiful day) or a quiet place and think. Another good point is the library local, although the office conference room will be in a pinch.
The idea is to stay away from a computer. You do not want near you all temptations at all. No terminal, no keyboard, no internet, no email. Nothing. Why not? Because this stage of the game has nothing to do with the Internet or computers. I also found it much easier to think without distractions like a ringing phone or program requiring e-mail.
So think what you are trying to communicate. This is probably one of the most important parts of the design process. Do it early and your website has just come together by itself. Mess It Up Now, and you may find changes and endless fighting it's for a long period of time.
I found, it is preferable from a general (known as top-down design) and work my way of details. For example, say I decided to make a website about cats and my audience is a cat. Well, what am I trying to tell these cat owners?
I could start by saying, well, I want to teach them some tricks that I learned to mock cat ownership and more fulfilling. I might also want to sell certain products (which is a form of communication) as well. In addition, I want to stress treatment in May animal ethics.
Now I can start putting it in a plan or list or whatever you want. It is a process of reflection, so just write down everything you feel is important as it is organized in a manner that is appropriate. What you are doing is trying to get your thoughts organized and written down – it's nothing formal, it may not need to be seen by anyone else. Formal conception comes later, over a high-level analysis.
I might end up with a list of things to teach my visitors about cats. The idea here is to give people information that makes the site more useful to them. This is important whether or not the site is commercial – it must give people something of value or they will not stay on your site, they will not come back and they will not recommend to someone else.
You may also begin to examine briefly how you will communicate your message. Think a bit about graphics, sounds and other media at this point. Staying with the example cat, I might need to include an array of breeds of cats with a photo of each breed and a description and favorite food. I May also want to include video or sounds to communicate better. Remember, you do not create the Web site or its contents at this time – you set the limits.
Set limits on what you want to talk about your site. Current information? Daily or weekly tips (perhaps an ezine)? Data Historic? Photo albums? How detailed would you get? How large? If you sell something, how do you link your content to your site?
Remember to always tie up your decisions to your goals and your audience. Are these things that your audience does not want to know? Is that all of this information in the form of site goals and objectives? In other words, if you create a website about cats, you probably want to include articles and pictures of your skiing trip – unless, of course, you have a cat that skis.
I found it is generally good to do it several times over several days. Write your thoughts and organize them as needed. Then go home and come back the next day. Repeat the process. Do it as often as necessary until it feels just like it was done.
Do not spend a outrageous amount of time on this. The whole process a good size, the website should only take a few days ago. Remember, you set in general what you are talking. The details will come later.
When you're finished, you will find that the rest of the web site analysis and design process will go much smoother. And it should – you know what you are trying to communicate. This ensures easier to do.
