In the small town of Clydebank, Scotland famous for its shipyards, which includes the Queen Elizabeth I and II was born in March 1970, keyboard and synthesizer Alan Greer Man of the alternative rock band Spotty Dogg. Alan, not your typical child, picked up his first keyboard with an age of four a Bontempi organ and later bought his first guitar. While other children were out playing football Alan stuck at home working on songs and listen to good music, which leads to reality for pieces of time. While only 17 he has also worked with disabled people for two years, which he says opened his eyes to the ignorance of the world. With Alan passionate interest in music has taken a shine to anything with an electric current, he worked in CCTV, alarms, access control door, a repair technician to debug TV, video, hi-fi, etc., and something to do with computers. He holds an HNC in Electronics and Computer Technology.
Greer musical career began when he played bass guitar in a band called 55 days in a well and also in a bad called A Touch of Klass in locations around Glasgow, Scotland. In 2000, he began a solo career and established his studio first. He released two singles in his hometown bank of Clyde. His first album, which pays sold over 800 copies. His main musical influences are Midge Ure, Pink Floyd and Jean Michel Jarre. He continued to work in his studio creating his music when he met Jamie Frazer (Doggs singer) and he formed the band Spotty Dogg includes Greer and Fraser along with Gary Lee McKinney – Guitar, Craig Fraser – Drums, and Rikki Maclaren – Bass. They produce their own original music in the studio of Greer is based in the Highlands Scottish.
