multiple sound cards in vista
Does anyone know any sound cards Vista ready comparable to the Audiophile 24/96?
Hello, I am using some blithely Audiophile 24/96 's on several computers since 2004. I recently made a new HP tower pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium as a birthday present and you guessed it, I'm in the same boat as all other m-audio user with no driver available and in sight. I was interested in whether someone has had success with other soundcards Vista ready comparable to the audiophile 24/96 in regards to ASIO support and 24-bit ratio etc? I hate to see sitting around the computer and I hate even more to write in midi manually all day! Thank you Reggie T
Unfortunately, Creative has the most stable drivers to date for Vista. I run Ultimate with an SB Live! 24-bit PCI card, and have limited use of the card. However, my speakers Logitech 5.1 operate with the card under Vista, I just used Vista Control Panel, not Creatives. Hope this helps. If you find a card 5.1 with a better driver, please let me know.
