Music is something that we all love and enjoy. It helps us relax and take life easy when we do not work. The Musical Instrument Digital Interface or MIDI for short, helps musicians input their work in computers and processing.
MIDI compatible instruments send a binary code computer can understand. All notes that a musical instrument is capable of playing are assigned specific MIDI messages depending on what the note and the octave are. For example, the East C note played on any musical instrument MIDI compatible will always transmit the same MIDI message from its' MIDI port Out '. Which code will be sent when a note is played is defined in the MIDI specification. This includes the basis of the MIDI standard that all manufacturers of instruments Casio and Yamaha as follow.
Since all MIDI instruments follow the MIDI specification and thus transmit identical MIDI messages for events identical MIDI such as reading a note on the musical instrument, all MIDI instruments can communicate and understand each other and with computers that were programmed to understand MIDI messages using MIDI-Aware software. The MIDI interface converts the current fluctuations transmitted by a MIDI musical instrument, into binary numbers that the musical instrument or receiving computer can process.
All MIDI instruments have allowed an integrated MIDI interface. In addition, computer sound cards usually have this integrated interface – otherwise it can be purchased separately card form and easily installed.
So What does this MIDI standard contain? The MIDI standard consists of a protocol for communications mail designed for use with musical instruments, and a standard physical interface. The physical interface consists of a one way (simplex) digital current loop serial communication signal to 31,250 bits per second.
The advantage of MIDI is that it is a low bandwidth consumption and thus is good for the networks and the Internet. Today, MIDI has become the choice for phone providers Mobile services offer their customers the latest ringtones. Music lovers can also enjoy their products and edit them directly with MIDI software allowing them to have complete control over their work.
That's not all! This wonderful standard of communication can also be used for control, theater lighting, special effects, sound design, recording system synchronization, audio processor control and computer networks. Any device built with a MIDI output port can theoretically control a device with a MIDI IN. This is possible only if the author of two devices has made arrangements for agreements between the 2.
In conclusion, the standard MIDI communication has changed lot. MIDI messages are lightweight packaging that can be stored and processed with a minimum of fuss and power. This makes a valuable MIDI format for musicians, game designers and workers in the network. Midi is also excellent to help control show in presentations and other work on the business environment.
