I have an Acer computer, I added a new keyboard MS (front USB port add-in) now the speakers do not work.?
The PC is approximately eight months, the new keyboard is a MS Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000. I brought it home last night, do the PNP and had no problems. I would add also recently added a wireless mouse, so now both are connected to the front of the PC, which has 4 USB ports. Last night everything was fine, the speakers were very good. Overnight, when I turned on the PC today, the speakers will not play, but I can hear them via headphones. I opened the Device Manager RealTek audio, and the speaker icon tab has a tick, I think that may appoint The audio speaker is off regular?? How do I set the audio to play as it was originally?
Try installing the audio driver again. Always look for a newer. And you are sure of his facts you have installed the keyboard and it just died on you? He would die soon and you have not noticed? But im still leaning towards driver issue. Installing the driver for the keyboard can be spoiled with the audio driver.
