Why is one of the power tubes in my Fender Blues Junior light much brighter than the other? ?
I played in my amp Blues Junior today and experienced a slight decrease in volume and tone right in the middle of my reading. I worked with a delay pedal and pedal volume, but does not change the settings on both. It was a spontaneous change in tone. I then off the amplifier, then a couple of times, but the amp did not do his usual 10 seconds warm. It just came back on (output) immediately. Then I noticed one tube power light was orange while the other was a faint glow that I could get. This amp is brand new out of the box it 6 months ago. Should I just replace the power tubes, or is it something more serious?
There was no "warm up" because the amp was already hot. Looks like you need to replace your power tubes. Replace both at the same time, not one! Get a "twin" from a pair of reputable dealer.
